Description
The Yupoong 1501 is a 100% hypoallergenic acrylic cuffed knit beanie with a super-dense knit construction. The fold-up cuff creates a thicker double-layer band at the brow line, which gives the 1501 a cleaner embroidery surface compared to the uncuffed 1500. The cuff also adds structure to the front panel, so the needle has more material to stitch through without distorting the knit. For team programs, corporate branded headwear, and event merch where a front-center logo is the primary decoration, the cuffed construction provides better stitch definition.
Embroidery is the primary decoration method. The super-dense acrylic knit holds stitch detail well, but a firm backing or stabilizer behind the cuff is still required to prevent needle push-through on the knit loops. Keep stitch counts moderate to avoid distorting the stretch of the knit body above the cuff. DTF transfers press onto the cuff area at controlled temperature, since high heat can melt acrylic fibers. Test press temperature on a sample before running production. Screen printing is impractical on the curved, stretchy knit surface for production runs.
