Description
The Tultex 0291TC is a 5.5 oz unisex long sleeve tee built from 100% ring-spun cotton, 20/1 fine knit jersey. The reactive-dyed fabric is dischargeable on cotton grounds, and the garment is pre-washed to reduce post-decoration shrinkage. At 5.5 oz, this sits noticeably heavier than most long sleeve fashion tees, which run 4.2 to 4.5 oz. That added weight keeps the body stable on the platen and reduces post-wash distortion on full-front and full-back prints. Heather Grey is 90/10 ring-spun cotton/polyester. All other heather colourways and safety colours are 50/50 ring-spun cotton/polyester. Order the same colour from a consistent dye lot when running large reorder quantities.
The 100% cotton solids are a strong substrate for screen printing with plastisol, water-based inks, and discharge. DTF transfers bond cleanly to the ring-spun face and work well across all colourways including heathers. DTG prints vibrantly on cotton solids with standard pretreat and white underbase on darks. Discharge produces a soft-hand print on the cotton solids. For the 50/50 heathers and safety colours, use low-bleed poly-block underbase and moderate cure temperature for screen printing. The Heather Grey at 90/10 will discharge partially on the cotton fraction. Embroidery works on the 5.5 oz body with moderate stitch counts and cut-away stabilizer on the sleeve cuffs. Tubular construction with ribbed crewneck, taped neck and shoulders, 2" ribbed cuffs, double-needle bottom hem, and tear-away label.
