Description
The Shaka Wear SHMHSS is a 7.5 oz max heavyweight tee constructed from 100% USA cotton at 16 singles. This is the standard-dyed version of the SHGD garment-dyed tee, sharing the same 16 singles yarn and dense heavyweight body but with standard reactive dyeing instead of pigment wash. The 16 singles yarn produces a thick, stiff body that holds its shape through repeated washing and heavy ink deposits. Heather Grey is 90/10 cotton/polyester, and Charcoal Grey Heather is 50/50 cotton/polyester, which are substantially different substrates from the standard 100% cotton.
The 100% cotton construction on standard colourways accepts all cotton-friendly decoration methods. DTF transfers bond firmly to the heavyweight cotton face. Screen printing with plastisol produces bold, high-opacity results on the dense 7.5 oz body with excellent ink hold. DTG prints with standard pretreat. Water-based and discharge inks work on cotton grounds. Charcoal Grey Heather at 50/50 cotton/poly requires poly-blocking underbase and moderate cure. Heather Grey at 90/10 behaves close to cotton but test discharge before production. Shoulder-to-shoulder neck tape, 2% lycra neck rib, double-needle stitching, and an oversized relaxed fit complete the build.
