The Jerzees 437W Women's SpotShield Jersey Polo is a 5.6 oz 50/50 cotton/polyester jersey knit polo treated with SpotShield, a fabric-level stain-resistance finish that causes water-based liquids to bead and roll off the surface rather than penetrate the fiber. For uniform programs in foodservice, hospitality, healthcare support, or any environment where spills are routine, that characteristic matters more than the fiber content. Oxford is the one blend exception in the 12-color range: that colorway runs 53% polyester / 47% cotton, which shifts the substrate toward the poly side and affects decoration planning for that color specifically.
Embroidery is the primary decoration method for the 437W. The 5.6 oz jersey knit is dense enough to hold left-chest logo stitch counts cleanly without requiring a heavy cut-away backing. Use a lightweight cut-away stabilizer and topping film to keep stitches above the pique texture. DTF transfers bond well across the full color range and are the most practical route for full-front or large-format decoration on this polo. Screen printing with plastisol works on the flat front and back panels; the 50/50 blend on most colors will migrate with dark-ground plastisol inks, so use a low-bleed poly-block ink and test cure temperature on a sample before a full run. Oxford at 53% poly needs the same treatment as any higher-poly substrate. DTG is not a reliable route given the 50% polyester content; pretreatment adhesion is inconsistent on poly-blend jersey. Vinyl transfers at standard heat-transfer settings work for small designs, names, and numbers.
