The Harriton M560 Barbados Textured Camp Shirt is built on a 4.7 oz / 160 gsm, 70% rayon / 30% polyester polynosic shadow weave fabric. Harriton sand washes the fabric before cutting, which relaxes the hand and removes excess shrinkage from the rayon content. The result is a garment that drapes without stiffness and retains its shape through repeated washing. For uniform programs where the shirt goes into a commercial laundry cycle weekly, that stability matters more than the initial softness of a raw-woven rayon shirt. The shadow weave adds a subtle surface texture visible on solid colors, which reads as a premium detail in hospitality and event-staff applications without requiring a printed or embroidered effect.
Embroidery is the primary decoration method for the M560. The shadow weave provides a stable, moderately dense substrate that seats machine embroidery cleanly on the left-chest pocket or directly above it. Use a cut-away stabilizer behind the chest panel; the rayon/poly blend has slight drape and needs backing to prevent design drift under the presser foot. Left-chest logos at 8,000 to 12,000 stitches are the standard placement for resort, hospitality, and corporate shirt programs. Full-front or back embroidery is not practical on a camp shirt given the button placket and camp collar geometry. The 30% polyester content means ink migration is possible on darker colorways under high cure temperatures; set a moderate cure and use a low-bleed white if printing over a dark ground. DTG is not a practical route on the rayon/poly blend. Sublimation on lighter colorways is technically possible on the polyester fraction but the 70% rayon content limits saturation and produces inconsistent results; not recommended for production runs.
