The Hanes SL04 is a women's short-sleeve tee built on 4.5 oz 100% ring-spun U.S. grown cotton spun to 30 singles. The ring-spun construction gives the SL04 a smoother, softer hand than open-end cotton tees in the same weight class. The 30-singles yarn density sits between lightweight retail tees (32 singles) and heavier workwear blanks (18 singles), balancing print surface smoothness with enough body weight to hold up through repeated decoration and laundering cycles.
The set-in 1x1 rib collar with double-needle coverstitching at the neck sits flat and resists curling after washing. Shoulder-to-shoulder taping prevents stretch-out across the back seam. A tear-away label eliminates the tag for a clean lay on the DTG platen and a more comfortable wear.
For decoration, the smooth ring-spun cotton face takes DTG pretreat evenly and produces vibrant prints on the solid colours. DTF transfers bond consistently across the full card. Screen printing runs clean with standard plastisol. Light Steel is 90/10 cotton/poly with a light poly-block needed. The heather colours (Charcoal Heather) are 60/40 cotton/poly, requiring poly-block underbase and moderate cure to prevent dye migration. Discharge printing works on cotton solids and near-fully on Ash (99/1).
