The Hanes 5586 is an Authentic-T long-sleeve tee constructed from 6 oz preshrunk ComfortSoft cotton. The dense 6 oz face holds up to repeated laundering and resists snags in work and trade environments. This is the long-sleeve companion to the Hanes H5590 short-sleeve pocket tee, sharing the same heavyweight ComfortSoft cotton construction.
The tagless back-neck label eliminates tag irritation. A lay-flat collar with coverseamed neckline holds its shape without curling. Shoulder-to-shoulder tape reinforces the seam line. Double-needle stitching throughout adds durability at sleeves and bottom hem. Rib knit cuffs hold their shape. The preshrunk cotton ensures consistent sizing across repeat orders. Sizes run S-3XL.
For decoration, DTF transfers are the primary method, bonding firmly to the heavyweight cotton face. Screen printing with standard plastisol runs clean on the dense 6 oz cotton body with high opacity and no migration risk on solid colours. DTG prints with standard pretreat, though the heavier face favours bold art over fine halftone detail. Water-based and discharge inks produce soft-hand finishes on cotton solids. Embroidery sits cleanly on the sturdy fabric. Note: Ash is 99/1 cotton/poly, Light Steel is 90/10, and Charcoal Heather is 60/40, each requiring progressively stronger poly-block for screen work.
