Description
The Gildan G420B is a youth performance tee constructed from 5 oz 100% polyester jersey knit with AquaFX moisture-wicking technology and Freshcare antimicrobial treatment. The AquaFX finish pulls moisture away from the skin surface and spreads it across the polyester face for faster evaporation, keeping young athletes cooler during practice, games, and PE classes. Freshcare antimicrobial treatment inhibits odour-causing bacteria between washes.
The 100% polyester construction means this garment requires a different decoration approach than cotton blanks. DTF transfers are the primary decoration method, bonding consistently to the polyester face across all colours. Sublimation works on light-coloured polyester (White, Sport Gray, Carolina Blue) for full-coverage all-over prints. Screen printing is viable with a poly-block underbase and lower cure temperature to prevent dye migration and scorching; standard plastisol cure temps will ghost on polyester. DTG is not recommended on 100% polyester bodies as the ink sits on the surface without cotton fibre to absorb it.
The rib-knit collar holds its shape through repeated team laundering. Double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom add durability for active youth wear. The tear-away label removes cleanly for relabelling with team or brand tags.
