The Gildan G300 is the Light Cotton tee in the remastered Gildan lineup, sitting between the Ultra Cotton (6 oz heavyweight) and the Softstyle (4.5 oz ring-spun) in both weight and hand. At 4.45 oz and 30 singles yarn, the G300 delivers a smoother face than the 18-singles Ultra Cotton while staying lighter and cheaper than the Softstyle. The seamless tubular body eliminates side seams, which means no seam shadow on side prints but also no side-seam construction advantage for platen registration.
Heather and safety colors carry polyester. Sport Grey is 90/10 cotton/poly. Dark Heather, Graphite Heather, and all heather shades are 50/50 cotton/poly. Safety colors are 50/50. Screen printers running a mixed-color order across solid cottons and 50/50 heathers need to adjust underbase and cure per substrate. DTF transfers are the most forgiving method across the full color card because the film bonds identically to both cotton and poly surfaces.
