The Gildan G230 is a 6.1 oz preshrunk 100% cotton Ultra Cotton tee with a five-point left-chest pocket. The pocket tee format serves work programs, trade programs, and uniform orders where a functional chest pocket is required rather than optional. The heavyweight 6.1 oz cotton body holds up to industrial laundering and heavy ink deposit for screen-printed logos above or below the pocket.

For decorators, pocket placement affects print positioning. Left-chest logos can sit above the pocket, on the pocket itself (smaller artwork), or the pocket can be used as-is with a full-front or full-back print. The 100% cotton body takes all cotton-friendly methods. Screen printing with plastisol produces clean, opaque results with white underbase on dark grounds. DTG and water-based/discharge inks produce a soft in-shirt hand on cotton solids. Safety colours (Safety Orange, Safety Green) are 50/50 cotton/poly and require a poly-block underbase for screen printing. Sport Grey is 90/10.
