The Dyenomite 20BCY is a 5.3 oz 100% cotton youth cyclone vat-dyed pinwheel tie-dye short sleeve tee. The vat-dye process bonds color into the cotton fiber with superior colorfastness compared to standard reactive dyeing, which means the tie-dye pattern holds through repeated laundering without bleeding or fading. Each garment is hand-dyed, so every piece has a unique pinwheel pattern. For camp programs, youth group merch, and school spirit events, the pre-dyed tie-dye eliminates the need for custom dyeing on-site.
DTF transfers are the primary decoration method because the transfer film sits on top of the tie-dye pattern and produces a clean, opaque graphic regardless of the multicolor background. Screen printing with plastisol works on the cotton face, but the multicolor tie-dye background makes ink color selection critical. Use white or light-colored inks to read against the varied background. DTG can print on the cotton body but the tie-dye pattern will show through lighter ink areas. Avoid discharge on tie-dye because the vat-dyed colors resist stripping unevenly.
