Description
The District DM136 is a 4.5 oz unisex Perfect Tri 3/4-sleeve raglan built from 50/25/25 polyester/combed ring-spun cotton/rayon at 32 singles. The contrast two-tone construction gives the body and 3/4-length raglan sleeves separate colorways, making it a baseline format for team programs, school spirit runs, and event merchandise where body/sleeve differentiation is part of the design. The tri-blend jersey produces a soft, lightly heathered hand that plain 100% cotton or 50/50 blanks do not replicate.
The 50% polyester content in the tri-blend sets the decoration strategy. DTF transfers are the most practical method: the film bonds to the blended face and eliminates migration risk without a separate underbase step. Screen printing with plastisol requires a poly-blocking underbase and a lower cure temperature on every colorway, including the lighter frost shades. DTG produces a softer, faded-vintage output because the 50% polyester mutes vibrancy. Vinyl HTV is workable at polyester-safe temperatures with short press times. Discharge and sublimation are not viable on this blend. The raglan construction means artwork must be sized to clear the sleeve seam: full-front graphics should sit centred on the body panel, and left-chest logos should avoid the raglan seam line. 1x1 rib knit neck, back neck tape, and tear-away label complete the construction.

Decoration Method Compatibility
How this blank performs across popular decoration methods.
| Method | Compatible | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DTF Transfer | ✓ | Primary method for this tri-blend. Film bonds to blended face and blocks migration from 50% polyester. Control press temperature for heat-sensitive tri-blend. Most practical across the full two-tone colorway range. |
| Screen Print (Plastisol) | ✓ | Poly-blocking underbase required on all colorways. Low cure temperature for the tri-blend. Artwork must clear the raglan sleeve seam. Bold designs hold better than halftones on the heathered surface. |
| Vinyl / HTV | ✓ | Use polyester-safe lower temperature and short press time. Small to medium logos work best. Avoid large fills on the heathered tri-blend surface. |
| DTG | ✓ | 50% polyester mutes vibrancy. Soft, faded vintage output. Pretreat normally. DTF more reliable for consistent colour across a mixed-colorway run. |
| Embroidery | ✓ | 4.5 oz body is moderate weight. Left-chest placement clear of raglan sleeve seam. Keep stitch counts moderate. Cut-away stabilizer recommended on the tri-blend. |
| Discharge Printing | ✗ | 50% polyester prevents discharge. Not viable on this tri-blend blend. |
| Sublimation | ✗ | Tri-blend of 25% cotton and 25% rayon prevents clean sublimation. Only 50% polyester content. Not suitable for sublimation. |

Fabric Blend by Color Group
Not all colorways share the same fabric composition. Check the blend before ordering for decoration jobs where substrate matters.
| Color Group | Blend | Print Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Solid body / White sleeves (New Navy/White, Deep Royal/White, Black/White, Gray Fr/White) | 50/25/25 polyester/combed ring-spun cotton/rayon, 4.5 oz, 32 singles | Solid body provides clean ink holdout on the front panel. White sleeves are the lightest base in the range. Poly-block underbase on coloured body. DTF most practical across both panels. |
| Frost body / Gray French sleeves (Royal Fr, Purple Fr, Maroon Fr, Red Fr, Black Fr, Military Green Fr, Navy Fr) | 50/25/25 polyester/combed ring-spun cotton/rayon, 4.5 oz, 32 singles | Heathered frost body and gray sleeves. Two-tone heather adds visible texture through lighter ink deposits. Poly-block underbase required on all frost shades. DTF most forgiving across the two-tone heathered combination. |
| Tonal / matched (Black/Black Fr) | 50/25/25 polyester/combed ring-spun cotton/rayon, 4.5 oz, 32 singles | Dark body with dark frost sleeves. Both panels require a white underbase for light inks. Poly-block underbase mandatory. DTF most practical for consistent colour across the dark two-tone. |
