The Devon & Jones DG20 CrownLux Performance Plaited Polo is built on a 5.1 oz dual-sided mesh pique knit: 100% fine denier wicking polyester on the face, plaited to a 60/40 poly-cotton back. The total garment composition is 61% polyester, 39% cotton. That construction is the trade angle: the polyester face wicks moisture and provides UV 15-39 protection, while the cotton-blend back keeps the inside surface softer against skin than a 100% polyester shell. The plaited construction also produces a denser pique than single-knit polyester polos, which gives the garment a more structured appearance and a more stable surface for left-chest logo placement.
Embroidery is the primary decoration method for the DG20. The plaited mesh pique holds stitch registration well. Use a topping film to prevent needle deflection through the mesh openings. DTF transfers bond across all 13 colorways. Screen printing with plastisol works on the flat front and back panels, but the mesh pique texture may be visible through thin ink deposits. A heavier ink deposit on a fine mesh substrate can also trap under the squeegee, so test on a sample before a full run. DTG is not a practical route on the poly-face substrate. Sublimation can be explored on lighter colors given the polyester face, but the cotton-back blend limits saturation and the results vary by colorway. Three-button placket, dyed-to-match buttons, and matching flat-knit collar allow for coordinated left-chest embroidery opposite the placket without color conflict.
