The Comfort Colors C3333 is a 5.4 oz 100% ring-spun cotton garment-dyed women's midweight tee. Garment dyeing means each finished shirt is dyed as a complete garment rather than dyeing the fabric before cutting. This process produces the muted, vintage-washed color palette that Comfort Colors is known for, but it also creates inherent shade variation between dye lots. For print shops ordering restock, the shade may shift slightly from one production run to the next. Order full program quantities in a single lot when exact color matching across all shirts is critical.
DTF transfers are the primary decoration method across the full color card. The transfer film sits on top of the garment-dyed surface and delivers consistent results regardless of the vintage color tone. Screen printing with plastisol works, but the garment-dyed surface has a softer hand than undyed blanks, so ink adhesion requires proper cure. Bold spot-color artwork reads better on garment-dyed surfaces than fine halftone work. DTG prints at standard settings on the 100% cotton body. Discharge is effective on the darker garment-dyed colors, stripping the dye back to the cotton's natural tone for a tonal vintage effect.
The semi-fitted silhouette, double-needle collar, twill-taped neck and shoulders, and side seams complete the construction.
