The Champion S1049 is a Reverse Weave crewneck sweatshirt constructed from 12 oz 82/18 cotton/polyester heavyweight fleece. Reverse Weave is Champion's proprietary construction that runs the fabric grain horizontally instead of vertically. This cross-grain orientation resists vertical shrinkage, so the body length stays true to size even after repeated laundering. Ribbed side gussets from underarm to waistband stretch with the wearer and reinforce the anti-shrink construction.
At 12 oz, this is one of the heaviest fleece bodies on the market. The dense face holds bold embroidery and screen prints without distortion. The embroidered Champion C logo at the left cuff is a signature brand mark that adds retail recognition to decorated garments, making this body popular for campus bookstore programmes, Greek life, and branded retail resale where the Champion name carries value.
