Cotton-Poly Blend T-Shirts: G800, Jerzees 29M, and Hanes 4980 for Wholesale Printing
Buyer's Guide: Cotton-Poly Blend T-Shirts for Decorators
Gildan G800 DryBlend: 50/50, 5.6 oz, Moisture-Transport Construction
The G800 is the most widely specified 50/50 cotton-poly blank for workwear and athletic programs. At 5.6 oz with DryBlend moisture-transport yarn, it handles outdoor use, industrial environments, and commercial laundry reliably. Plastisol screen printing and DTF both work at adjusted press settings. Case quantity 72 units per color.
Jerzees 29M Dri-Power: 50/50, 5.6 oz, Dri-Power Moisture Treatment
The Jerzees 29M runs at the same weight as the G800 with a Dri-Power moisture management treatment. Use it for athletic team programs and outdoor event decoration where moisture wicking matters. Screen printing performance on the 29M is comparable to the G800 at standard mesh counts. Consistent sizing across dye lots supports repeat-order programs.
Hanes 4980 Nano-T: 60/40 Cotton-Poly, 4.5 oz, Lighter Hand Feel
The Hanes 4980 runs 60% cotton and 40% polyester at 4.5 oz, making it the lightest of the three styles and the one with slightly lower dye migration risk than a 50/50 blank. Use it for layered programs, lighter decoration jobs, and uniform programs where end-wearers prefer a cotton-dominant feel. Not suited to heavy industrial wash programs.
Low-Bleed Plastisol and Bleed-Blocking DTF Film for Dark Colors
On all three styles, dye migration on dark colorways is the primary production variable. For screen printing, use low-bleed plastisol inks formulated for polyester substrates. For DTF and heat transfer, press at 305 to 315 degrees Fahrenheit with bleed-blocking transfer film. Always sample dark colors before the first production run on any blend blank.

Same-Day Processing on Stocked Colors
Core colors on the G800, 29M, and Hanes 4980 process same day on orders placed before the shipping cutoff. Fast US shipping to decorator shops and print operations nationwide. No delays on standard in-stock colors.
Screen Print, DTF, and Heat Transfer Compatible
All three styles accept plastisol screen printing at standard mesh counts (110 to 156 mesh for spot color). DTF and heat transfer pressing requires 305 to 315 degrees Fahrenheit with bleed-blocking film on dark colors. Low-bleed plastisol inks reduce dye migration risk on 50/50 substrates during screen printing.
Shrink and Color Fade Resistance Through Commercial Washing
The polyester content in both 50/50 and 60/40 blend blanks resists the dimensional shrinkage and color fade that 100% cotton undergoes in commercial laundry programs. All three styles are suited to workwear and uniform programs with repeated high-temperature wash cycles.
Consistent Spec Across Reorders
Gildan, Jerzees, and Hanes maintain consistent sizing and fabric weight specifications across production runs. Measurements hold across dye lots, which matters for workwear programs and athletic accounts placing repeat orders through a season or a multi-year contract.
